On Wednesday, June 25, U.S. District Judge Richard Young struck down Indiana’s law protecting marriage between one man and one woman!
Advance America Warned Hoosiers This Would Happen!
Advance America has warned Hoosiers for years that the real goal of those individuals and groups who have opposed our efforts to pass a Constitutional Amendment to protect marriage between one man and woman was to legalize homosexual marriages in Indiana!
Our opponents kept saying that all they wanted to do was to stop the Constitutional Amendment. We knew that was not true!
The reason why lawsuits to legalize homosexual marriages were filed this year was because the 2014 General Assembly did not pass the Constitutional Amendment – without any changes – so the people could have voted this fall to protect marriage with a Constitutional Amendment!
Attorney General Greg Zoeller Asked To Respond Immediately!
Eric Miller, the Executive Director of Advance America has requested Attorney General Greg Zoeller to file an appeal of the judge’s ruling immediately and to request an immediate stay of the ruling to stop homosexual marriages from taking place in Indiana pending an appeal.
The Battle Is Not Over!
Advance America will continue to oppose the homosexual agenda in Indiana including the legalization of homosexual marriages.
