*4 Victories For Marriage!*
The May 6th Primary Election is now history!
I’m pleased to report that there were a number of victories for those who support protecting marriage between one man and one woman! Here are 4 of the victories:
- District 22 – Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties – State Representative Rebecca Kubacki voted against the Marriage Amendment in the 2014 General Assembly. She was defeated by a first time candidate Curt Nisly, who supports the Marriage Amendment, by a margin of 65% to 35 %!
- District 83 – Whitley and Allen Counties – Representative Kathy Heurer, like Representative Kubacki, voted against the Marriage Amendment in the 2014 General Assembly. She was defeated as well by a first time candidate Christopher Judy, who supports the Marriage Amendment, by a margin of 57% to 43 %!
- District 59 – Bartholomew County – State Representative Milo Smith chaired the House Elections Committee where the Marriage Amendment was heard this year. His leadership helped the Marriage Amendment pass the committee. Representative Smith then voted for the Marriage Amendment on the floor of the House. Representative Smith won his primary election by a margin of 60% to 40%!
- District 84 – Allen County – Representative Bob Morris is a staunch supporter of the Marriage Amendment. He survived a strong challenge from a well-funded candidate to win by 250 votes!
General Election November 4th!
Between now and the General Election scheduled for November 4th, those who support legalizing homosexual marriages in Indiana could spend $3-4 million dollars to elect candidates who will vote against the Constitutional Amendment to Protect Marriage between one man and one woman!
Be watching for future updates on what you can do to help protect marriage in Indiana!
