The 150 Legislators returned to the State House on January 4th. The House is controlled by the Republicans by a margin of 60-40, while the Senate is made up of 37 Republicans and 13 Democrats.
This is the short session of the Legislature. The General Assembly will be in session until March 14th.
There may be as many as 1,000 bills filed in the House and Senate.
