Repealing Property Taxes – Still The Right Thing To Do!

Advance America is the leading supporter of repealing property taxes in Indiana. If an individual buys a home, pays off the mortgage and then runs into financial difficulty so that they cannot pay their property taxes, then the government will take their home and sell it. That’s not right! Senator Mike Young has introduced Senate Joint Resolution 3, a Constitutional Amendment to repeal property taxes on a person’s home. In order for the voters to be able to vote in 2012 to repeal property taxes the legislature would have to approve SJR 3 in either 2009 or 2010, and again in either 2011 or 2012.
