The effort in the 2015 Indiana General Assembly to protect religious freedom continues to move forward! On Monday, March 16th the House Judiciary Committee voted 9 to 4 to pass Senate Bill 101, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act!  SB 101 now goes before the entire House of Representatives.

The following Representatives voted for SB 101:  Chairman Greg Steuerwald, Vice-Chair Casey Cox, Rep. Bill Fine, Rep. Eric Koch, Rep. Dan Leonard, Rep. Jud McMillin, Rep. Wendy McNamara, Rep. Jerry Torr, & Rep. Tom Washburne.

The following Representatives voted against SB 101:  Rep. Pat Bauer, Rep. Ed Delaney, Rep. Ryan Dvorak and Rep. Vernon Smith.

Senate Bill 101 is the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.  Senator Dennis Kruse, Senator Scott Schneider and Senator Brent Steele along with 10 other State Senators authored SB 101.

Representatives Tim Wesco, Jud McMillin, Don Lehe and Milo Smith are the sponsors of SB 101 in the House of Representatives.

SB 101 will help protect religious freedom in Indiana by providing protection for individuals with sincerely held religious beliefs, along with Christian businesses and churches.

SB 101 will help protect individuals, Christian businesses and churches from those supporting homosexual marriages and those supporting government recognition and approval of gender identity (male cross-dressers).

Here are just 3 examples:

  • Christian bakers, florists and photographers should not be punished for refusing to participate in a homosexual marriage!
  • A Christian business should not be punished for refusing to allow a man to use the women’s restroom!
  • A church should not be punished because they refuse to let the church be used for a homosexual wedding!

URGENT ACTION REQUIRED!

Please contact your State Representative right away with the following message:
